Natural Lake House with Sustainable Design Idea by BjarkoSerra Architects
This natural lakefront cottage was designated as a retreat house or weekend home. This lakefront cottage was designed by BjarkoSerra Architects. Clad in timber, this cottage has the natural wood that blends really well with the ecosystems around it. The house is located on Olympic Peninsula, Washington, and this lakefront house design occupies 1,920 square feet. Behind the making of this cottage was really at first inspired from the cabins located just northwest of this house that comes with modern twist.
The rustic feelings in this cottage never seems to end with exterior clad in Western Red Cedar wood gorgeous windows and doors that is so inviting to each of the rooms here while the soapstone and concrete nicely blend with the forest mountain environment. We love that in the process of making this rustic loft doesn’t involve any trees being cut and neither land was disrupted. Truly an astounding lakefront cottage design by BjarkoSerra Architects.
