Martha Stewart entertains a book signing in S.F.

Martha Stewart devotees will want to circle Nov. 5 on their calendars. That’s when the TV personality, media mogul and font of inspiration for all things domestic pulls into Macy’s Union Square at 11 a.m. to sign copies of “Martha’s Entertaining: A Year of Celebrations” ($75; Clarkson Potter). Released 30 years after her classic, “Entertaining,” the lavishly photographed book, which weighs about the same as one of Stewart’s Cuckoo Maran hens, includes menus, tips for entertaining and recipes, a few of which she’ll use to demo her new line of professional cookware, bakeware and tools.

The collection features aluminum core between layers of stainless steel and is dishwasher and oven safe to 500 degrees. Aluminum bakeware comes in shapes and sizes used in professional bakeries. Exclusive to Macy’s, prices range from $5.99 for bakeware to $499.99 for a 10-piece set.
